Shandong First Medical University

Shandong First Medical University (Shandong Academy of Medical Sciences), founded in February 2019, is a key construction university in Shandong Province and the largest medical science research institution in Shandong Province. In 2020, it was selected as the “first-class” university construction project in Shandong Province.The number of disciplines ranks the 10th (parallel) among independent medical colleges and universities. 

The comprehensive strength of ESI ranks among the top 100 colleges and universities in China (87th), 7th among independent medical colleges and universities in China, and 2nd among colleges and universities in Shandong Province.In January 2021, the international ranking rose 23 places, and it was one of the “fastest growing universities in China”.

The clinical medicine discipline has entered the top 1% of the world’s ESI rankings for ten consecutive years, and the top 1 ‰ of the world’s ESI rankings in 2022, ranking the 6th among the independent medical colleges and universities in the mainland and 453th in the world.SDFMU is one of the first batch to award the Shandong Provincial Government Scholarship for Foreign Students. Since 2004, it has recruited undergraduates and postgraduates from over 40 countries and regions such as the United States, South Korea, and India, and has a good reputation for international education. It has established good cooperative relationships with universities, medical and research institutions in over 30 countries and regions.
