Jingchu University of Technology

Jingchu University of Technology is a public undergraduate institute approved by China’s Ministry of Education. It is located in Jingmen, Hubei, a famous historical and cultural city known as the “Gate of Jingchu”. It covers a land area of 160 hectares, with a school-building construction area of 380 thousands square meters. It is equipped with different modern teaching and scientific instruments.

History：Shayang Teachers College/Shayang Normal School

1956-2001：Shayang Teachers College

2001-2007：Jingmen Vocational College/Jingmen Vocational School

1984-1998：Jingmen Vocational College

1998-2007：Jingchu University of Technology

In 2007 Jingmen Vocational College and Shayang Teachers College merged to form Jingchu University of Technology

The university has successively carried out joint training of postgraduate students with Yangtze University, Hubei University of Technology, Wuhan University of Technology and other universities. University has established exchange and cooperation relationship with universities and organizations in countries like Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology, Ireland; Ubon Rajathanee University, Thailand; De La Salle University-Dasmarias, Philippines; City University, Malaysia; University of Barcelona, Spain; Polytechnic West, Australia; Long Island University, the USA; Vaasa University of Applied Science, Finland; Caen University, France; 

The University of Bolton and so on more than 20 foreign universities.

Students：There are more than 19 thousands full-time students. 

Teaching Staff：The total number of teaching faculty is 1237, including368professors & associate professors, more than 796 doctors & masters, and 4 specialists who deserve special provincial and national allowances.
