Since 2003, the Institution began to recruit international students in China, and the scale of international students has been continuously expanded over the past ten years, along with the continuous improvement of the level of running schools. A total of nearly 5,000 degree and non-degree international students from more than 40 countries including Russia, Kazakhstan, Bolivia, Indonesia and Vietnam have been recruited and trained by the Institution. Besides, it is eligible to accept national scholarship programs such as International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship and offers institutional scholarships for international students In 2011 and 2014, the Institution set up Confucius Institutes at University of San Simón, Bolivia and California State University, Long Beach, USA; in 2017, it cooperated with Muhammad Nawaz Shareef University Of Agriculture, Multan, Pakistan in establishing a Chinese Language and Culture Center to actively carry out Chinese + vocational skills education; in 2020, the it joint hand with Loyalist College of Applied Arts and Technology, Canada to organize a Sino-foreign cooperative education program in preschool education; and in 2022, it set up an overseas branch in Science-Based Technology Vocational College (Chonburi), Thailand to jointly train students in international economics and trade.
