Hunan University of Technology (HUT), founded in 1958, is a key university in Hunan Province of central China. It is a comprehensive university with science and engineering at its core and packaging technology and education par excellence, offering degree programs at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels across a wide range of subject areas.HUT is located in Zhuzhou of Hunan province, a city at the cutting edge of engineering and manufacturing, an industrial powerhouse famously known as "the Engine Valley of China" and a world-class rail technology and innovation hub. With the advantage of the characteristic disciplines,NJFU has long focused on the independent innovation.

At present, NJFU possesses a National Engineering Center of Biologic Materials for Mechanical Products Packing, and 49 R&D research institutions, key labs and engineering research centers at provincial levels. Currently, HUT has established ties with fifty universities across the world, including Dresden University of Technology in Germany, University of Arizona in the USA, University of New South Wales in Australia, University of Malaya in Malaysia, Nelson Mandela African Institution of Science and Technology in Tanzania,Hong Kong Polytechnic University,Macau University of Science and Technology.
